About Us
The Rural Community Development And Youths Empowerment Foundation (RUCODEV) is a non-profit organization targeted at wealth creation and youth employment. It intends to create opportunities for youths to be gainfully employed in community-sponsored enterprises, and also provide entrepreneurial skills. It is hoped that this initiative will reduce the mass rural-urban migration of youths and same to other countries seeking for better opportunities in life, and also create wealth in each community.

RUCODEV Operations Model
- Communities/Entities invest in establishing viable business enterprises based on the resources of the community/entity
- The business enterprises create employment opportunities for youths and others
- The business enterprises employing the youths and others produce prosperity for the communities/entities
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- To cause communities/entities to be directly responsible for the development of the productive sectors of their economies by establishing farms, craft shops, small scale and cottage industries and factories through the deployment of their own internal resources such as land, types of crops/vegetation grown, mineral resources, skills including traditional skills, available manpower including raw strength of youths, etc. (This could be likened to the colonial era where village and town unions challenged themselves to build secondary schools).
- To cause such community-driven business enterprises to provide employment opportunities for their youths, thus reducing the high rate of unemployment and address youth unrest in their communities.
- To cause communities/entities to produce what they consume, and export the surplus. (For example utilizing maize, cassava, sweet potatoes, etc. which we can produce in abundance to bake bread!)
- To cause a competitive spirit in communities/entities in the industrial development of their communities
